Strawpeople: Knucklebones (2023)
Almost two decades after their last album, Strawpeople – Paul Casserly and Fiona McDonald – return with sophisticated, studiocrafted pop for adults and home enjoyment. With a few sonic twists to keep it interesting, Strawpeople don’t much shift the dial on previous outings but Forgot to Forget featuring saxophonist Nick Atkinson and the samples of Idi Amin and Pope John Paul II on the dubadelic Love Diktat bend the ears in a pleasingly different direction.
