The Bats: Corner Coming Up (2025)
The long-running Bats – a stable line-up since 1982 – have delivered some of their best work in the past two decades and this excellent album (their 11th) sees them up the stakes again in songs which have their signature sound but with a bit more melancholy behind the catchy indie folk-rock. There are quieter songs, the rocking Loline and subtle details everywhere. One of their best.
