Velvet Revolver: Contraband (2004)
Could have been a disaster when Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum hooked up with STP’s Scott Weiland and guitarist Dave Kushner. But the hard rock supergroup fired off powerful originals and the new double vinyl edition adds their covers of the Pistols’ Bodies, Cheap Trick’s Surrender, Aerosmith’s No More No More and Nirvana’s Negative Creep. They knew their roots.
