Shack: Here’s Tom with the Weather (2003)
The vehicle for Michael Head, one of Britain’s greatest songwriters and perhaps the third best out of Liverpool, Shack followed their critically acclaimed HMS Fable with this more folk-influenced collection which had echoes of the Byrds (one track titled Byrds Turn to Stone), Zombies and High Llamas. Just lovely, great songs beautifully arranged for strings and horns where required.
