Nala Sinephro: Endlessness (2024)
Last year’s acclaimed Promises collaboration between saxophonist Pharoah Sanders, electronica artist Floating Points and the LSO prepares the ground for this ambient-cum-jazz outing by Caribbean- Belgian synth player and harpist Sinephro with saxophonists Nubya Garcia and James Mollison (the latter from Ezra Collective). Restful, warm pieces with acoustic piano, trumpet, strings or saxophone. Familiar territory but it’s a nice place between adventurous New Age jazz and atmospheric minimalism.
