Although this sounds exactly as you’d expect when the Oasis singer hooks up with Stones Roses’ guitarist (and Squires’ lyrics a weak link), this collaboration is actually very enjoyable as Liam channels himself and Squire pulls some Hendrix and boogie into the mix. And Mars to Liverpool has a touch of the Searchers about it. Better than a first hearing might suggest.
