Eminem: The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013)
The sequel to his 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP got a 10th anniversary expanded treatment taking it out to four records of his often angry, autobiographical minimalist raps. Opens with the seven minute Bad Guy (which picks up on his challenging Stan from the first LP) and from then on it’s a dark, brilliantly produced, collection with samples from the Beasties Boys to the Zombies. The additional material includes instrumental versions which confirm how clever this is.
