Crowded House: Gravity Stairs (2024)
This new edition of Crowded House is democratic: songwriting duties fall to Neil Finn (of course) but also Liam Finn, with Tim Finn also contributing. It’s also as if they have given up trying to appeal to radio (which tends to ignore senior statesmen, even Neil) because there are no obvious hits here. But the album of dreamy pop, familial harmonies, dialled-down power pop and even Prince-like funk sound the better for it.
