Classic late 40s and early 50s swinging, bebop jazz on the great Blue Note label, this album was compiled from pianist Powell’s 10” releases and the roll-call of genius players includes drummers Roy Haines and Max Roach, trumpeter Fats Navarro and tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins. Considered one of Powell’s greatest albums and a cornerstone jazz release. You need to hear it.
