Jeff Tweedy: Twilight Override (2025)
Wilco’s Tweedy’s solo career has been worth following and now he drops this big one: a triple vinyl of often downbeat songs which seem to infused by the unease living in America under Donald Trump. The politics is never overt but there is a sense of discomfort here. There’s also spoken word (Parking Lot) and affirmative songs like Feel Free (“feel free to fall in love with the people you know, fall harder for the people you don’t.”) So not a completely dark ride but certainly a thoughtful one.
