The Weeknd: Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025)
A typically guest-heavy outing (Lana Del Rey, Florence and the machine, Travis Scott, Giorgio Moroder, Future and more) as well as a cast of dozens among the songwriting credits (from Rod Temperton who wrote Thriller, Off the Wall and Rock With You for Michael Jackson to electronica boffin Oneohtrix Point Never). But surprisingly the album feels consistent despite the help on hand and the diversity of material from falsetto pop to synth ballads and excitable dancefloor synth-pop. It’s a long haul (almost 90 minutes) so sample slow.
