Sharon Van Etten: Sharon Van Etten and the Attachment Theory (2025)

You have to give her this: Sharon Van Etten doesn’t stand still for any length of time. Every album seems to push in a new direction, some more than most. This is one of the “some” because she embraces shadowy Goth moods which takes also its lead from recent Gary Numan, early New Order, Lena Lovich and Siouxsie Sioux. It can be a dark but elevating ride and she still know her way around a gripping melody.
