Jason Isbell: Foxes in the Snow (2025)
The modest, personal and stripped back album by the great songwriter which probably went past most people. He sounds wounded after a divorce, admits to his many failings (alcohol, anger), recalls moments of love and allows in forgiveness and by the end there’s the suggestion of a new love arriving. Quietly gripping.
