Here after a mere gap of 24 years Jarvis Cocker and some former members of Pulp offer an album which taps thoughtful observations on life, an encounter with an old flame, gets quirky and funky (and a little bit classic Van Morrison) and on Spike Island (where the Stone Roses famously played in 1990 and changed the direction of British pop) Jarvis sings “I was born to perform, it’s a calling. I exist to do this.” He does.
