Mac Miller: Balloonerism (Recorded 2014-2016)
The second posthumous album – released in 2025 – by Pittsburgh rapper Miller and was something he was planning at the time of his death in 2018, not just a cobbled together cash-in. His blend of smooth soul, trip-hop and woozily psychedelic sounds make for an album which is often unexpectedly intimate and gently stacked with pop awareness (the single 5 Dollar Pony Rides). It might be the last album we hear from this source but it’s a good place to start listening.
