Laufey: Bewitched: The Goddess Edition (2024)
The Icelandic-Chinese singer Laufey Lin Jónsdóttir is the most streamed jazz artist on Spotify for her smooth blend of Ella Fitzgerald-lite, Streisand-lite and the crooning approach of Chet Baker. But to her credit she also writes her own sophisticated material which comes with intelligent lyrics and classy arrangements for a small band or orchestra. This expanded edition of her Bewitched album (now a double set) is utterly entrancing, especially close to midnight.
