Dartz: Dangerous Day to Be a Cold One (2024)
Post-punk pub rock is in safe hands with this energetic Wellington band which pulls enough speed metal attitude and flat-tack delivery to pin you to the wall. What separates them from the tradition is their wit (Paradise, Gender Reveal Burnout, Flat Inspection) but also willingness to undertake serious stuff like name suppression for the famous or well-placed (Mr. X). Powerful.
