This witheringly smart British post-punk four-piece pulled in elements from Wire, John Cooper Clarke, Kae Tempest, Magazine and Television, with Florence Shaw’s distinctive spoken word, emotionally flat musings out front. Challenging, confusing and hard-edged commentary. A step up from their excellent debut New Long Leg which is equally recommended.
