The Scottish band’s impressive, indie rock-cum-post punk garageband debut which celebrated youth and rock’n’roll daring, and didn’t back away from chart-pleasing songs. Surprising given the key band members were closer to 30 than 20, but their experience and broad listening melded into original songs with a sense of pop history (Gang of Four, Britpop, Bowie etc).
