The Searchers: The Ultimate Collection (1966)
One of the great Liverpool bands whose jangle-pop influenced the Byrds and Ramones and delivered a cracking run of singles in the 1960s including Sugar and Spice, When You Walk in the Room, Needles and Pins, What Have They Done to the Rain, Take It Or Leave It and others. Lack of in-house writers hindered their progress but this 20 song compilation gathers the best and the rest. Classic pop.
